The TotaChair
Made for Mission
In 2010 Ken Austin wanted to create a lightweight mission chair that would provide patients and doctors with more comfort than the other options currently available on the market. As co-founder of A-dec, the largest dental equipment company in North America, Ken understood the challenges that dentists face while providing care to people in remote locations.
Totability is a hallmark of the TotaChair. At just 25 pounds, it can be checked as a bag at the airport or toted up a hill to remote mission sites. It also sets up quickly so dentists can focus on patient care instead of fiddling with equipment.
The TotaChair was designed by Ken, he later transferred ownership rights of the design to the Rotary Club of Newberg Early Birds. Our club uses volunteer labor to build the chairs and raises funds for the Newberg Early Birds Foundation which supports local and international brick and mortar projects.
Dentists have used the TotaChair for more than a decade and it continues to stand up to the rigors of the mission field. Visit our “User Reviews” for more insight.
